A Catalog of Lunchbag DoodlesThu Jul 19 2022
The title for this assignment was "Alt," and we were tasked with creating a poster and accompanying video that highlighted an underrepresented area of graphic design history. I have always had a love for pins and the way they utilize a small amount of space to communicate entire ideas and movements quickly and effectively, so I decided to chose them as my topic.
During the research phase of the project, I decided to divide my poster into 2-3 pins from different movements throughout American History. On my poster I represented these categories through titles within circles and different text colors. I also included a history of buttons on the left side of the poster and my references on the right side of the poster. When selecting fonts I took inspiration from the thick elongated san serif letterforms I saw on many of the pins.
