Causes to Care About
This is a book I created based on my love of pins and their knack for conveying a lot of information in a very small space. Previously, I created a more serious project on the history of protest pins, which got me thinking about what random causes I would personally wear on a pin. Based on that idea, I wrote my own slogans, designed custom graphics, and produced real pins to attach to the pages of a fabric book. Each page of the book is designed to look like a shirt pocket and is made from thrifted button-downs. A few of my favorites include “St. Louis for Potholes” and “Erins Against Aarons.”
