Cataloging Lunch Bag Doodles
When I was a kid, my mom would draw pictures on the brown paper lunch bags I took to school. Usually, the drawings featured little jokes, puns, figures of speech, or just cute creatures. I enjoyed them as a kid, and looking back now, I realize that my mom was feeding me both actual food and creative inspiration through those lunch bags. Seeing the drawings made me want to draw too and encouraged me to create cool things—which, in some ways, is how I ended up pursuing a degree in Fine Arts.
Surprisingly, my mom saved many of those lunch bags, so I decided to turn them into a series of books. The books are organized by animal character and housed inside colorful 3D-printed lunch items. Everything is contained in a brown paper bag fitted with a holder for the books.
